Always wear heavy work gloves and protective eyewear!

Step #1:    Non-reinforced belts should be cut to 1-2% less than the actual measured length around the pulleys, depending on the desired tension.  Reinforced belts should be cut to the actual measured length around the pulleys.

Step #2:    With a pair of needle-nose pliers, insert the connector into one of the belt using a using a firm circular motion until the center flange of the connector is in contact with the end of the belt. 

Be careful not to damage the sharp edges of the connector.

Step #3:    Wrap the belt around the pulleys, and using a firm circular motion “walk” the open end of the belt over the exposed barb until it is in contact with the center flange of the connector.

For the 90A belting we suggest using a heat gun to soften the

ends of the belt just prior to performing steps #2 and #3.
